"Hey Gamers,It’s E.G.M Time. Join us next Tuesday in JHL1 at 6:30pm.What's on the agenda?Constitutional ReferendumEvery two years we are required to hold a vote on our constitution. This time we are proposing some changes to make the running of the society smoother.Changes to the contents of article 4.5 -1. Esports Coordinator to be renamed Esports Management Coordinator 2. The introduction of the Esports Promotion Coordinator.3. Update the numbering of the roles to be more consistent with the constitutional template.These changes will be voted on together. The changes to the Esports coordinator role is being proposed to deal with how large the esports workload has become over the past couple of years. On acceptance of the article 4.5 , the positions available for election will include the Esports Promotion Coordinator. Introduction of article 4.101. The position of Ordinary Committee Member shall be elected on an as-needed basis.Then it's election time:Up for election is the War games Coordinator, Esports Promotion Coordinator* and last but absolutely not least, the First Year Representative. See the end of this announcement for the duties and responsibilities of each role.Nominations will be held on the night and the vote will be held on MUlife.Note: In order to be able to vote or run for positions you must be a paid member of the society on MUlife.There will be having an update regarding Dominicon 29: Medieval Edition. Food and drinks will be provided (pizza).Description of positions available:War Games Coordinator:The War Games Co-ordinator is in charge of liaising with the War Games pillar of the games society.Responsibilities include:- Taking charge of the Gamesoc wargames stock.- Organising war games events.- Facilitating war games on Tuesday nights.- Facilitating miniature painting sessionsBonus Points:- Knowledge of major war systems.- Miniature painting skillsEsports Promotion Coordinator:The Esports Promotion Co-ordinator is tasked with handling the advertising and promotion of Esports.Responsibilities include:- Creation of social media posts and posters.- Editing clips together. Posting on the Instagram.- Organising of community events and streams. - Assisting the esports management co-ordinator with other tasks.Bonus Points:- Knowledge of the Irish esports scene.- Experience with poster making / video editing.First Year Representative:The First Year Rep is considered the golden child of the society. They are intended as a relatable point of contact for any first years in the society.They also get to experience the day to day running of the society, including helping organise events and help with the set-up of our weekly meetings. A phenomenal entry point position for anyone looking to engage in society activities on a more involved level.We hope to see you then,"
