Lupercalia’s Valentine 

Come and join us on the day of love to celebrate Valentine’s Day as Romans did!! Lupercalia was one of the most notorious celebration in Ancient Rome, revolving around the mysterious figures of the ‘luperci’, the protectors of the livestock against wolves. We’re going to have a fun quiz about Lupercalia with prizes and sweets to make everything lovelier (everyone welcome  :)).

Join us for an unforgettable afternoon of fun with our beloved Percy Jackson's theme !! We're going to make bead bracelets, (like the ones on the Percy Jackson saga :) and be a part of the Half-Blood Camp ! We're going to watch episode 1 of the Percy Jackson TV series, season 2 while we make the bracelets to have the full experience :))

About Classics Society

Maynooth University's Classics Society is set up by students for students with an interest in the Ancient World!


We welcome anyone with an interest in Ancient Greece & Rome, be it academic or personal, no matter what course you choose to study. So far we've a diverse range of students from Maths, English and Bio-Chem so please feel free to join in on our Weekly Activities and Events! Often the people who join our society are those with an interest in the ancient worlds of Greece, Rome, their myths and lifestyles! 

Our events range from movie and pizza nights, coffee mornings, pub quizzes and more!
