Well done to Eimear who was elected as our new Secretary after Aoife, our former treasurer and secretary stepped down.

Eimear will be well able to keep the emails flowing and keep us on the straight and narrow!

MUCK held there Meet and greet on te 8th of October.

this event was organised as a way for people to get to know the club and all the people involved. there were over 60 people in attendance and we hope to see yous all at or pool training, river trips and canal sessions

Congradulation to all of our Paddlers who took part in and passed their Level 2 Kayaking Skills Assessment the past weekend. This is a massive achievement, as our paddlers continue to develop their skills.

A Successful Kayak Intevarsities

MUCK attended the annual Kayak Intevarisites in Belfast last weekend. 23 kayakers from our club travelled to Belfast to compete in one of the biggest competetions for college kayakers in Ireland. We were very successful over the weekend, bringing home a lot of silverware;

  • In men's Slalom, Cian Vaugh came 3rd, and Noel Hendrick came 2nd overall.
  • In General Performance, David King came 3rd overall for men, and Grace Hyland Martin came 3rd overall for women. Cian Vaugh, Séamus Murray, and Noel Hendrick also came in the top 16 for this event.
  • In Men's K1, Matthew Byrne came 3rd overall.
  • In Duo, Kate Delaney and Rachel Cooney came first overall for women.
  • MUCK won BanterLeague for the 2nd year in a row! #2inarow

I would like to congratulate all winners, and all of whom took part. It was a great weekend. The future is bright for MUCK!

Liffey Descent!

We would like to congradulate our member, Clodagh Nic Ghiolla Rua, on coming second in the GP Womens Seniors category in the Liffey Descent. This events attracts paddlers from all over the country, so is a massive achievement.

We would like to congradulate our member, Cian Vaugh, on winning the Male Under 18s Upper Boatercross competetion at Cranafest 2016. This is a whitewater event that attracts experienced paddlers from all over the world, so is a massive achievement.
