Location: Royal Canal MaynoothThe canal session will be lead by our instructor who is a qualified level 2 (training to be a level 3 instructor) with Canoeing Ireland. The canal sessions are open to members of all skill levels. Our aim is to help improve members paddling skills, get beginners towards a level 2 standard and prepare for our participation in the annual intervarsities competition. We will meet at the container on South campus at 2pm, get all the gear ready then make our way to the canal. We will spend a little over an hour on the water practicing our skills, then make our way back to South campus to tidy everything away for 4pm. All gear is provided for the participants and risk assessments will be completed every week. |

Whether you're a pro kayaker, a complete beginner, you have never seen a boat in your life or you're just want to try something new, there's something for everyone!
We hold various events throughout the year such as weekly training sessions, canal sessions, river trips, nights out and social events and our weekends away such as our Freshers trip, Inter-Varsities, the Surf trip and many more.
Overall, we're about having fun, making new friends and learning some new skills! We're looking forward to yet another unforgettable year and hope you can join us!
