"Hey everyone, On the 24th of October we held our annual Street Outreach and Working with Vulnerable Adults Training. The training is delivered by Niamh Brennan, our college co-ordinator with SVP. All our volunteers who took part in the training are now qualified to take part in our Street Outreach Volunteer programme, in which we travel to Dublin and offer tea, coffee, sandwiches, clothes and conversation to people sleeping out in the city. The Street Outreach programme has seen a big increase in numbers since last year, and we're excited to start offering more volunteering opportunities to our members this year.Keep an eye on our page for upcoming events!"
"We are delighted to announce that our journal, Silver Hand, has been accepted as a Student Publication Association (SPA) member. Every member of our society now has access to professional workshops and resources that cover a range of exciting topics. SPA aims to provide help and guidance to student publications, showcasing work at a regional and national level. They also run events, an annual conference, and an awards night. Formed in Southampton in 2012 and registered as a charity in 2020, they now represent 175 student publications across the UK, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland. We are looking forward to getting involved and availing of all the events and training on offer. "
