We have teamed up with the Swiftie society to do the Big Pub Quiz! Taking place on 16 April in O'Neils beer garden, this event will test your general knowledge and provide some laughs as well. Entry is free and donations to SVP will be appreciated on the night! Hope to see you there

A chilled afternoon coffee collab with the mental health, psychology, and mature society! A chance to de-stress and socialise from 2-4pm in TSI 110. 

Slow Fashion Catwalk collab with the Environment Soc, DJ Soc, Visual Media Soc and many more is on Wednesday 13 March from 7-10pm!! 

We will showcase second hand fashion in our catwalk(prizes to be won), talk about the environmental impact of fast fashion, hold a swap shop- bring clothes to swap if you want! and have a workshop.

All money raised is going to the charity Threshold, a charity committed to preventing homelessness. Make sure to buy your tickets(or get them at the door). See you soon!!

We are collabing with the Mental Health Society and many more- to raise funds and awareness for Movember! This is an amazing event in support of mens mental health.

SVP and the Mental Health society are collabing for a wellness walk on Wednesday around South campus from 1-2pm!  

Our Street Outreach Training is Tuesday 24 October! Street outreach is when we go into Dublin and give out supplies/food to those living on the street. We’ll be going out on outreach hopefully by end of November when everyone is fully vetted/trained!

We're really excited for our first event of the year! At the AGM we will appoint new committee members and talk about future fundraisers/events!

Maynooth SVP Society is hosting our annual AGM this Wednesday, October 13th at 7pm in JHL4!

The AGM this year will be held in person but due to the university's health guidance, there will only be 50 people permitted to attend in person. Therefore, we have set up an online booking system on mulife.ie! The booking closes an hour before the event starts so make sure to book your spot as soon as possible! 

There will be five committee positions up for grabs, a public relations officer (PRO), an events officer, a fundraising officer, a first year representative and an ordinary committee member (OCM), all of whom are central parts of the committee! We urge those who wish to run for these positions to attend in person, to give you the best shot possible for election.

We look forward to seeing many of our society members in-person at the AGM!

We would emphasise to our members that this event will be in compliance with the University Guidelines for all clubs and societies, and as such, all members in attendance will be required to wear a face covering and practice social distancing in accordance with University Guidelines.

All funding raised will go into funding our volunteer activities such as Street Outreach and others. We are asking people to donate a minimum of €2 to our PayPal which will enter their name into our raffle. We have some fantastic prizes up for grabs which consist of:

LGBTQ+ Homelessness Discussion Panel with Dr. Aideen Quilty. Dr. Aideen Quilty is the Associate Dean of Social Sciences, Director of Gender Studies at UCD and is on the 2020 Focus Ireland report on LGBTQ+ Homelessness.

On Thursday the 25th of February at 7pm on Microsoft Teams, Maynooth Disney Society will be hosting a virtual Escape Room, titled "The Search for Library Cat" which follows a group of students working to find Library Cat, after he disappears. The event is open to all Maynooth University students.

Players will compete in teams of 5 people, and can either play with a group of friends they already know, or be assigned to a team if they wish. We kindly ask that each person donates a minimum of €2, which will go to MS Ireland, the MSU Chosen Charity of the Year. The quickest team to complete the Escape Room will receive a €100 One4All voucher. 

Join us, sit back and enjoy a virtual movie night with Maynooth SVP, MHS Maynooth and Maynooth Film Society on Wednesday the 24th of February at 8pm. Between the three societies for this collaboration, we will be presenting the film “All Together Now”. We chose this movie to raise awareness for homelessness in the lead up to Social Justice week which takes place in early March every year.

Maynooth SVP are collaborating with Maynooth Access Society and MHS Maynooth on Wednesday the 24th of February at 6pm for an "MUA" with special guest Saoire Rawson.

This coming week, Maynooth SVP will be hosting a collaboration event with MU Yoga Society - Beginners Yoga class on Tuesday the 23rd of February between 6-7pm. This is a free event, however, donations for SVP Ireland are welcome and much appreciated.

On Thursday the 17th of December at 6.30pm Maynooth SVP will be hosting a Christmas quiz as part of our SVP Christmas Appeal in collaboration with numerous societies. 

The quiz will take place on Microsoft Teams, and an email will be sent to SVP members. If you haven’t got an email drop us a dm and we will send you the link ?

There will be lots of cool prizes to be won on the night, including One4All vouchers for the 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place contestants. There will also be a raffle for a JustEat Voucher.

As part of our Christmas Appeal, we are hosting a fun run in order to raise money for SVP. Christmas is always a hard time of year for SVP, however this year is especially challenging as no physical donations can be made.

Lovely to see so many of you guys sign up at Fairs Day yesterday! This year will be hard for many with so much lectures being online, so the more the merrier! Also, virtual Fairs Day has extended till Friday, and if you have any questions you can still use the live text chat on MULife.

Just to let you all know that we're hosting a short zoom Intro Night to the society tonight! Members and non-members welcome.

Essentially it's just a chance to find out what the society is all about from the committee members themselves and have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. If you're undecided about joining, Intro Night provides the perfect opportunity to get a taste of the society and our plans for the semester. We're sound out so don't be afraid to turn up even if you're nervous, it will just be a chill chat!

Maynooth Students' SVP will be hosting our first event of this year at 6.00pm on Thursday 13th October in TH2 in the arts block.

This is your chance to really get a good idea of what the society is all about. From getting stuck in feeding the homeless on the streets of Dublin City Centre to social nights and Intervarsity events, SVP is the place to make a difference and have unreal craic doing it. You get to meet all our great committee and find out why we love SVP and why you will too. 

If that isn't enough, you will also be given the opportunity to get seriously involved with the society by running for one of the positions available on our committee where or you can bring your ideas forward and help run thesociety. 

All you do is step up and say a few words to influences the masses to vote for you. No experience neccessary just a positive attitude so please consider joining our fantastically friendly committee. 

There are plenty of opportunities to help out with the society over the year ahead. You can get involved with our Fundraising, Activities, Events and Welfare teams to make a real difference.

Well while your soaking in what SVP is all about and maybe running for a position, you can enjoy FREE pizza and FREE refreshments and then afterwards we'll all group together and hit the town for the night.
