Croke Park Trip

Posted 27th Feb 2023
Author Ryan Cox (Events Officer)

The members of St. Catherine’s Society were in attendance on Saturday evening for the double header in Croke Park. The Dublin hurlers and Tipperary began proceedings at 5pm and were followed by the Dublin footballers up against Clare.

The Hurling was fantastic from start to finish. Both Dublin and Tipperary fought out a fiercely competitive match. Some of the scoring was top class with Donal Burke from Dublin contributing to 15 points of his sides tally. Tipperary led the Dubs by a singular point at half time. 2 goals in the second half meant that Tipperary came out on top.

The football made for compelling viewing as the Dubs and Clare battled it out. A goal for Clare just before half-time left them 3 points up at the break. As the second half went on Clare led by six points. It was a handsome lead, but Dublin came back with 7 unanswered points of their own. Clare will be disappointed with some of the officiating, but it made for enthralling entertainment.

It was a fantastic trip to Croke Park arranged by St. Catherine’s Society and one that will live long in the memory.

Hey Guys,

We met up on discord for a coffee morning but not everyone had a coffee with them. Nonetheless it was great to catch up with everyone on discord and find out how everyone was doing.

We will be using discord more for the next few events, so if anyone has some ideas for events feel free to text into the group chat or on insta.

Otherwise stay amazing, keep safe and stay strong.

P.s If you need someone to lend an ear, feel free to talk to anyone of us

AGM 2020/21

Posted 18th Oct 2020
Author Miriam (Public Relations Officer)

So this week we had an amazing AGM and welcomed some new people to the committee while simultaneously saying hello to new and old members. During the AGM we came up with so many amazing new improved ideas/events to put on during the year....on zoom but if everything improves maybe in person.

For an example we came up with the idea for a movie night (dont worry it will be on zoom), quiz night, discussion night(which would be a virtual chat room for the night), a trip here in Ireland or abroad (....Maybe..?) and so much more events to enjoy as the year goes by.

Finally I'll love to see ye all at the next event and remember to stay safe.

p.s Note you are not alone during this time, if you need anyone to talk please contact anyone of us?.
