On Tuesday the 16th of April, we will be joining MU Lego for a Disney themed chill and build session from 1-3 in Rye Events Space.  Be sure to come along ! 

For our commuter event of the week, come join us and colour in your favourite Disney characters ! Take a break from the chaos of college and take some time to unwind ! This will take place on Wednesday the 13th of March from 3:30-5:30pm in Rye Events Space.

On Monday the 26th we will be holding a Winnie the Pooh themed commuter craft. This will take place in the Rye Events Space from 3:00-4:30pm. This is the perfect event for all of our commuter members so be sure not to miss it!

We will be holding our final Disney Land Paris information session on Thursday the 21st of December from 1:15-2pm (location tbc).  These sessions are mandatory for those coming with us on our Disney Land Paris trip in January. You only need to attend one of the info sessions and attendance will be taken. It is very important to attend if you are coming with us on the trip!!!!

On Tuesday the 5th of December we will be hosting a music bingo/quiz night with MU Musical Society and MU Swiftie society. This will take place in O'Neill's pub in Maynooth town from 7:30pmfollowed by a karaoke open mic afterwards. So come on down with your friends, play some bingo, test your trivia knowledge and sing a few songs. We are very excited for this collab and we hope to see you all there!!

On Wednesday the 29th we will be hosting a collab with Mu Dance society where you can come and learn a dance to your favourite Disney songs. It will cost 2 euro to be part of the class and it will take place in the small sports hall in Phoenix from 4-5pm.

On Wednesday the 22nd we will be hosting our annual Avengers Olympics in collaboration with several societies on campus! 

• From 12-2pm we will be Iron Man building with MU LEGO society in Rye Events Space.
• From 2-3pm we will be brushing up on our frisbee skills to impress Captain America with MU Ultimate Frisbee in the Phoenix Hall. 
  
• From 3-4pm we will be learning to shoot like Hawkeye with MU Archery Club in the Phoenix Hall. 
• To conclude the day we will learn how to fight like Black Widow with a little help from the MU Shotokan Karate Club. This will be in the Phoenix Hall from 6-7:30pm (this event may not be commuter friendly but for all the others we have ensured commuters can attend !) 

We will be hosting a Disney themed craft on Monday the 20th of November where members can make their own Disney Ears. This is commuter friendly and is perfect for those coming on our Disney Land Paris trip. 

We will be hosting a commuter friendly event where we will be making our own Mickey and Minnie Mouse Ears. It will be held in Silken Thomas in the SU and is a great craft for all members who would like to create their own unique Disney ears. 

This Monday the 6th of November we will be making Disney Themed luggage tags as part of our commuter event for the week. It is open to all members but especially to those coming our Disney Land Paris trip in January!  

We will be celebrating Halloween by hosting a Day of the Dead themed craft. We will be painting and decorating skull ornaments while listening to some Halloween music. This is a commuter event and all are welcome. 

We will be continuing our Star Wars marathon in JHL3. We will be watching Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and all our members are welcome!

Are you a Disney fan who loves to bake? We've got the perfect event for you!

Next weekend (Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st November), we'll be running The Great Disney Bake Off, to celebrate the finale of the much loved TV Show, The Great British Bake Off.

You'll be able to compete against your peers for the chance to win a gorgeous hamper FILLED with Disney themed Baking goodies!

We're asking members to sign up online before midnight this Saturday the 13th of November. Once you sign up, you'll be added to an Instagram group chat which will be our main form of communication with you all over the course of the competition.

Over two days, we'll be running two challenges- a Technical challenge, and a Showstopper challenge. The technical will require you to bake something with a basic set of instructions, which you won't be able to practice before the day. We will, of course, provide you with a list of ingredients you need before the big day. The Showstopper is your chance to wow us- you can create any Disney bake, which fits the theme of 'Christmas'. This event is our annual collab with Tea Society. During the event you can grab a cup of tea while we talk and do our Alice in Wonderland themed activity book. Zoom link is in our weekly email!

This event is an escape room in which you and your team have to try and solve the mystery of the missing Library Cat. The event starts at 7pm 25th of February. For the event you will need a team with a min of two members and a max of five. The event is open to all students in Maynooth so you can invite your friends even if they are not in the society . The first team to finish the escape room gets a 100 euro One4All voucher. In order to take part in the event you need to fill out the attached form and pay €2 per person via PayPal, which goes to MS Ireland

We will also be doing a craft at the event and if you do not want to do the craft we will also provide an activity book with word searches and images for you to colour in. We will be having a competition all day Tuesday were you can enter your pancake art in order to celebrate pancake Tuesday. You can send your entries to our Instagram page or any of our Disney socials. The winner of the competition will win a small prize. 

We will be watching Brother Bear at 7pm on Kast. You do not need a Disney+ accout in order to watch the moive with us on Kast. We Hope to see you there on Monday. 

In preperation for our guest speaker Rolly Crump we will be watching an episode of The Imagineering story every Thursday to learn more about what Rolly and the other Imagineers do

At this event you will have the option of doing the craft or an acitivity book with word searches and colouring pages while we talk about the movie or anything else Disney related. 

During this event we will also have a EGM to elect a new secretary. If you’d like to run, you can let us know before the meeting or just run on the day!

We will be watching Mulan with Pride on monday at 7pm. We will be showing the movie on Kast so you do not need a disney+ account to watch the movie. We are looking foward to seeing you all there. 

On Thursday, we will be discussing our Monday night movie while working on some Tangled themed activities that will be emailed to you. Come along and let us know your opinions on Tangled.

On Wednesday, we will be making the iconic lanterns from Tangled. All you will need is paper, scissors, markers/colours, glue and a toilet roll centre.

Against her mother's wishes, she accepts the aid of an intruder to take her out into the world which she has never seen.

To end our trip to Disneyland Paris (sad face ?), we’ll be watching Illuminations. Illuminations is the night-time show at Disneyland Paris. It features projection mapping onto the castle, alongside fireworks, water features, and a great soundtrack! It’s the perfect way to end our trip, as we say goodbye to Disneyland Paris for another year. We’ll also be announcing the winner of our Disney Bounding competition, and a very special event. We’ll be kicking off our final day with a Disneyland Paris Quiz It features ten rounds of ten questions, with each round themed to a particular element of the park. The quiz is just for fun, and will feature general knowledge questions, questions related to the main park, the studios park, Disneyland Paris history, the various lands within the park, and hotels. It’s an excellent opportunity to brush up on your Disneyland Paris knowledge, and maybe even learn something new! All week long, we’ll be running an amazing Disney bounding competition! To enter, all you have to do is snap a photo of your outfit inspired by a Disney character, and send it to us. The winner will get two mini bean bag plushes from the Disney Store. Plus, every entry will get a gift from us. We’ll be posting inspiration photos on our Instagram all week long, to help you with ideas. Plus, our first-year rep Laura is going to create a collection of all the entries, so that you can use them for future inspiration when you’re visiting a Disney park! Deadline is Thursday 28th of January at 12 midday

We’ll be lining the streets to catch a glimpse of the 25th anniversary parade, Disney Stars on Parade! You can expect to see some of your favourite characters like Mickey and Minnie, along with a very catchy soundtrack. We’ll also be colouring in a colouring sheet inspired by the Dragon in the parade. Join us for a Disney themed escape room. You’ve been locked into the park at night and need to find a way to get out. You’ll be divided into small groups for this, and each group will be racing to escape the quickest! Arguably one of the best elements of the park is the rides. You can join us as we ride some of the most popular attractions in Disneyland Paris. We have a great line-up planned, with everything from the classics like Big Thunder Mountain and Phantom Manor to newer rides, like Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. We’ll kick off the day by walking Main Street USA in the Disneyland Park. You’ll be able to look at the beautiful buildings, which are an idyllic version of Walt Disney’s hometown. Then, we’ll take a quick tour inside what is arguably the most beautiful Disney Parks Castle. To top it all off, you’ll be able to create your own miniature version of the castle at home! Just print off the attached PDF in advance. All you’ll need is the printout, scissors, and a glue stick or Sellotape. We’ll begin our trip to Paris by visiting the Walt Disney Studios Park for a special screening of the award-winning stage show, Mickey and the Magician. Join us as we virtually jet off to Paris! We’ll all be setting our background image on Teams to show the view from an airplane window, as we play games and have chats to keep ourselves entertained during the flight. Come join us for are final movie night of the semester and 2020. We will be watching The Santa Clause as is tradition for the Disney for our last movie of the semester. Follow along our video tutorial on Friday to make Mickey Mouse shaped Chocolate Chip Cookies! We'll be sharing the recipe and the video with members at 7pm on Friday. All you'll need is butter, caster sugar, an egg, plain flour, baking powder, chocolate chips and milk chocolate.

This event is a collaboration with Dance and Musical and will involve a Musical Theatre Dance class hosted by Dance. You need to book the class in advance on MU Life. The class is free but charity donations are appreciated.

Our highlight of this week is Disney Christmas Bingo! This is in aid of MS Ireland, and part of MSU Charity Week. Bingo will take place at 7.30pm on Thursday. Places are limited, so please fill out the form below and we'll email you with all the details. We also ask that all participants donate €2, as it is a charity event. Further donation details will be available after you sign up.

This event is for our first years, all first years are welcome. The event will be held on Teams by our first year rep Laura. This event is a good opportunity to make new friend ans just talk. Hope to see you there. 

We will be having a yoga class with the yoga society at 6pm on zoom. After the yoga class we will be watching Frozen II on Kast. For Kast you do not need a Disney+ account so everyone can watch. 

During this event we will show you how to craft your own Christmas star, just like the one from the Disney advert! All you need is paper or card, glue or sellotape, scissors, ribbon and colors. We will meet on teams at 7 pm.

We are watching Up in collaboration with Mental Health society to celebrate Movember. The movie will be on Kast so you do not need a Disney+ subscription to watch.

Join Disney Society on October 30th for a spooky quiz. There will be a 2euro entry fee, which will be donated to the Student's Union Charity of the year. You can do the quiz with a group of friends, with a new group of friends (that we will assign) or do the quiz alone. The quiz will take place virtually over teams.
