Today the CFR Sisters from Drogheda will be visiting us, to give a brief talk about the importance of the pro-life movement and praying for it. After that we will pray the rosary and then have snacks after. 

We hope you all had a fantastic Easter break! Let's ease back into things with a casual lunch Meetup at the benches just outside John Hume and see friends we maybe haven't seen since before the break once again!

Feel free to bring your own snacks & whatnot also, variety is the spice of life afterall!

A Light Fever is a super opportunity for anyone to come in to the chapel with the Eucharist exposed. It provides even just a few minutes to light a candle and escape the hustle and bustle from a busy day to pray. In the chapel, a priest will be there to provide the Sacrament of Reconciliation or a chat to all who would like to avail of it.

This week we will watch the fifth and final episode of the Living Faith Lenten series. All are welcome to join whether you have watched the previous episodes with us or not. We hope to see you there!

Come and join us Thursday evening as we head on down to the Moyglare nursing home as we sing for the local residence, a great opportunity to lift their spirits, see and interact with the local Catholic community and spend time to worship God through voice and song, hope to see you there!

For this event, we will be having Fr. Luke travel down to Maynooth to give us a talk. Fr Luke's talks are always clearly led by the Holy Spirit which makes them very beneficial so we encourage you to come!

Trinity is kindly hosting the intervarsity event of Post-College Catholicism. At this, there will be a number of speakers telling us about the various events and facilities that are available in the Dublin area for young Catholics. It's a great way to meet new people and to foster a Catholic community for outside of college. 

We will be getting the 6:20pm train from Maynooth to Trinity and most likely a bus back afterwards. So please be at the train station for around 6:10pm just so that we can make sure that everyone is there on time. And don't forget your leap cards! ;)

The second in our Lenten Called to More video sessions. This weeks video and reflection will be based on the theme of unlocking more grace from the mass. 

Lenten Reconciliation Service in St.Joseph’s Oratory focusing on the theme of unlocking more grace from the mass. 

To link with the theme of the Lenten Viewing on the Tuesday of "Developing your Prayer Life" we want to apply what can be learnt from there and use this opportunity to develop our prayer through an Adoration in St. Catherine's from 3pm to 4pm. So take some time to sit down and talk to God and develop your connection to him even further. 

Come and join us for our first viewing session of the Lenten video series, each video having its own theme. For this specific video viewing the theme will be "Developing your Prayer Life". Each weekly viewing will then follow its own unique theme also! 

Join us for our AGM tomorrow evening (in the common room) after the Youth 2000 prayer meeting, where we will be announcing our newest committee members. We will also be creating a suggestion box for anyone who'd like to put in any ideas for the upcoming semester.

Join us on Students for Life annual Student Summit weekend being held in Glencomeragh House, Waterford. It is a donation only weekend with a bus usually provided to and from Dublin. It is a great opportunity to get away from the college setting and get to know people better. There will also be other like-minded students and young people there too. It is a great chance to learn more about the Pro-life stance and to learn methods and techniques of promoting it. 

This event is being organized by Students for Life so every person wishing to attend will be required to register themselves through the Students for Life webpage. https://studentsforlife.ie/ss24/ Also, there will usually be a means of registering for a place on the bus also, closer to the time, but it will be every individuals own responsibility to book their place on it as The Catholic Society is not directly involved in organizing it.

As the final event for our 'Spreading God's Love' week we will be having our gift exchange for all those who participated in our Secret St. Nick over Advent. We will be getting some pizza as well hopefully ;)

As part of 'Spreading God's Love' week, we want to hand out candy canes with positive messages attached to them to all that we meet on campus. 

It would be great to have as big of a team of distributors as possible, so we'd love to see you there, as we try and spread a bit of love and joy across campus :)

To kick start the week of 'Spreading God's Love', we would like to get a group of people to join us as we go to the local nursing home for about an hour, just to sing some songs and help brighten up the residents' day :) Christmas is all about spreading love, joy, peace and hope, and what better way to start then by a visit like this.

So don't forget your Christmas hands, your singing voices and your smiles!

For all interested in joining us for carols in Moyglare nursing home on Monday 18th from 5-6pm, we will be holding a practice for it from 2-3pm on Thursday 14th. Please be as prompt as possible, as we won't have a lot of time to prep it, so we will have to get straight into it.

At the end of the Intervarsity Students 54-day Rosary Novena, we are inviting all to join us for a thanksgiving Mass in St Catherine's Chapel, North Campus, at 7:30pm, on this Feast of the Presentation of the Immaculate Virgin Mary. It will be a great opportunity to give thanks to God for all the graces and blessings that He has granted, and will grant, through this novena. We hope to head out for food after somewhere as well for anyone who would like to join.

The Patriarch of Jerusalem has called for a day of fasting, abstinence and prayer on October 17th 2023 for these present times. Join us in prayer at the 1:05pm Mass and prayers afterwards in St. Joseph's Oratory, South Campus. 

Let us join with Catholics around the world as we pray together to ask God to help us in these times and to restore peace to the world. 

Join us for the first (hopefully of many) opportunities to meet Catholics from other colleges, particularly around the Dublin area. There will be representatives there from Trinity and UCD Catholic societies also. 

The Mass begins at 7pm, so we will aim to get a train from Maynooth (for those who wish to travel with us), at 5:55pm (keep an eye on our socials for any changes). We will travel to Broombridge and get a Dart from there to Dominick Street. (Please be advised if you have a students leap card, for your own sake, it would be advised that you bring it with you, as that will be the cheapest way for you to travel). 

We hope to get a representative group from Maynooth going to it.

Join us, as a group of us head to the Academic year opening Mass. It will be held in the large church (St. Patrick's college chapel) on South campus. 

Some of us will head for a picnic lunch (meeting at the President's arch, South campus at approx 12:45pm after the Mass) to find somewhere to sit (possibly Infront of John Hume building, but confirmed in the WhatsApp group chat). If the weather is dodgy, we can head to Pugin as a backup.

We will begin with 1:05pm Mass, followed by Adoration, with some praise and worship songs included, and then head to Pugin after that at about 2:15-3pm.

After this, we will head to Pugin Hall to grab some lunch for whoever would like to join. This will give us an opportunity to meet each other, pray, and have a chat! Plus, Mass is always a good way to open a society, particularly a Catholic one!

On Monday evening, 14th Nov., at 8pm, we will be hosting the weekly Youth2000 prayer meeting. This will be followed by pizza and refreshments after. Please bring €2, if you can, to help cover the cost of the food. All are welcome!

We know that this may not be feasible for everyone, particularly commuters, so please see our other (day-time) event, to allow those who can't make Monday evening to join in in the fun!
