Day out to Sandycove beach for a sea swim and some chats to help raise money for Movember. The event is free but if anyone wishes to donate they can, as we have set up a Movember account. 
We will have two meeting points. Maynooth station for anyone who is travelling and Sandycove dart station.

We will then make our way to Sandycove beach, have a few chats and then we will be going for our cold splash.

This Wednesday, we’re teaming up with Snow Sports, MUCK, and DJ soc for our annual “Water” Pong event in the Student Union from 8pm-10pm. It’s just €3 on Revolut at the door to join in, and it’ll be a great way to meet people ahead of our Halloween trip. Hope to see you all there! :)

We're hosting our surf club AGM at 6:00pm to 7:00pm in JH Lecture Room 7. All are welcome, there will be talking about our plan for the year and meeting the committee. Pizza and Redbull will be provided. We'll head over to O'Neills after to continue the chats and get to know everyone

We are excited to be planning the first surf x snow ball on the 2nd of may 2024. 

We have booked the courtyard hotel in Leixlip. the area is an upstairs private room where we will have a band playing and booked in some DJs for the remainder of the night. the hotel is taking care of security. 

We are planning on doing two rounds of ticket sales: one this Thursday at 1pm in the arts building and the other Tuesday same time and location. the tucket price will be 35 euro per person and will be through bank transfer. 

Our maximum capacity is 200 people, which we hope to fill out. 

We have advertised our event on our surf page @musurfclub on Instagram as well as sending out an email to all of our members. We are in the process of getting posters and tickets printed to put around campus and will come to you to get the stamp of approval!

We want to organise an event where members who have not been able to go on trips or people that want to discover the culture of the surf club can come and hang out! 

The place rents the pool tables hence the 5€ charge per person. 

There will also be an additional 15€ charge per table per hour we use so €120 for the two hours. 

We are welcoming all members to join us on our Mystery Tour of Maynooth.  We will be meeting in the MSU building at 18:00.  From there, the committee will take you on a mystery tour around the hotspots of Maynooth.  Expect to hear about Maynooth's most famous stories, myths and legends.  We will also be hosting a quiz for you and your team to show off what you know about life in Maynooth, surfing and general knowledge.  It is €5 per group to take part, with a maximum of 5 in each group. 

First prize for the quiz: Every member of the winning team will be offered early registration for our next surf trip.  This means you are guaranteed your spot on the trip, and don't have to worry about it booking out!

There will also be prizes for best Christmas jumper, so don't forget to dress up!

Musical Bingo in O’Neills Bar and Steakhouse - in the garden. 

No alcohol will be provided but members will be able to purchase at the bar if they would like to do so.

We are planning to host a collaborative event of 'Table Pong'. It will be taking place in the SU Venue, where up to 12 teams will compete at a time for their club!

We are hoping to host our AGM for Surf Club tomorrow evening. We have booked JH7 to host this event, where we will welcome both new and old members to the club. Our plan for the evening is as follows:

• (6 pm) meet and greet members, host informal chitchat with the group regarding any queries they have about the club
• (6.10 pm) introduce the club as a committee, and outline our plans for the year whilst inviting recommendations and ideas from our members for future events and outings 
• (6.25) advertise the 'open' committee positions which include both first-year rep and OCM
• (6.30) host an election whilst encouraging mini 'speeches' for the committee positions 
• (6.50) clean up the room 

Collaboration trip to Colaiste Uisce with the Surf Club, Yoga society and Cuallacht na Gaeilge

Return trip to Uisce from Maynooth University with a private coach.

We will arrive to uisce on the friday night were we will be given our rooms, a brief of the trip and safety guidelines.

On the Saturday everyone will take part in 1 water activity (e.g. surfing) and 2 land activities (e.g. archery) including 1 Yoga class.

We will leave Uisce to return from Maynooth on Sunday evening.

The end of the year is here which means it's time to get set for next year! I'm thinking trips! Before we can go on trips we are gonna need a new committee! At the AGM we will elect a new committee for the 2021/2022. Of course we keep things light so followed by the election we'll have a quiz!!

The Surf AGM for 2020 is finally here. It will take place on Microsoft teams on Wednesday October 14th at 6pm. The AGM is an opportunity to chat with the interim committee and other members. It is an opportunity to ask any questions you might have. The interim committee will explain what is going on this year and how you can get involved.

You will also have the opportunity to run for our committee for this year. You can nominate yourself for President, Vice President, Secretary, Public Relations Officer, and Treasurer. You can run for all positions if you havent been elected already. You will be given around 60 seconds to tell the members why they should vote for you for the position in question then everyone will vote for who they believe is best for the position.

We hope to have news on our activities and maybe a raffle running too. 
We can't wait to see you all on teams and one day in person!
