The tournament will encompass highly competitive Ultimate Frisbee games between 12 college teams. The following colleges have confirmed their attendance for the event:  

• Technological University Dublin (TUD)  

• University of Galway  

• UCD (bringing 2 teams) 

• Trinity College Dublin (bringing 2 teams) 

• Royal college of surgeons Ireland (RCSI) 

• DCU (bringing 2 teams) 

• University of Limerick  

• University College Cork 

• Maynooth University 

We have prepared medals for first, second and third place and the IFDA will provide trophies for the tournament. We have also provided spirit of the game prizes for one female and one male players on each team which are elected by their team. We have also purchased medals for the female and male MVP of the final. We will allow for teams to have at least an hour break from games to get lunch and have a break. We will provide teams with a team pack a few days before the tournament which will include the schedule and housekeeping for teams to keep in mind for the weekend. We will also provide teams with some information about Maynooth such as shops for teams to purchase lunch if they wish, water fountain locations, and parking locations. 

Each participant will present something about whatever they like in whatever format they like (once it has been shown to either events officers before hand)

This is a pre-booked event. Attendees will make their own travel arrangements to and from Artistic. Pre-paid.

Games night will include board games/ cards/ computer games. A relaxed social environment for all members.

Our annual Christmas hats tournament where both experienced players and beginners can play together. It is a great chance for people to play frisbee just before Christmas and have some amazing fun.

As our end of year event, we are going to GO Quest in Carrickmines. This venue offers a multi-challenge escape room game. This should be great fun for all members attending. The challenges are done in teams and so offers members of Maynooth Ultimate the opportunity to engage in both teamwork and competition which is in line with the competitive spirit of the club.

This event serves as our yearly alumni event. Past MU alumni who have played for Maynooth Ultimate come down for a day of Frisbee matches. This offers a good chance for current students to meet up with alumni who they may have played with and for MU alumni to meet the current squad.

Given that the Games Night we held in November was a success, we have decided to organise another Games Night as a social event. This event presents a great opportunity for club members to get together and socialise and socialise playing board games and video games.

For February’s Maynooth Frisbee social, it has been decided to go bowling. Airtastic in Celbridge has been booked. Like all of our social event this offers members a good chance to engage in a social activity together. The social side of the club is a very important aspect of Maynooth Ultimate. The timetable for this event is:

18:15: Get C4 bus from Maynooth stop (near train station) to Airtastic Celbridge

19:00 – 20:30: Bowling

20:45: Return to Maynooth

As an end of Semester 1/Christmas Event, Maynooth Ultimate has organized going Ice Skating in Blanchardstown. Details of the event were provided via the club’s Discord. The events section of the Discord (where details of all the club’s social events are given) was used to initially gauge interest. The time of 19:20 on Wednesday December 20th was decided for the event. A large focus of Ultimate Frisbee is on the social aspect of the sport and this will give members a chance to have a fun event before the end of the semester. The group will then be going for food in Blanchardstown.

Fairytale of Maynooth is a yearly Ultimate Frisbee hat-tournament ran by Maynooth Ultimate. This format means that players are randomly assigned to different teams with the teams being balanced based on the experience levels of those who have signed up. The tournament is open to players of all experience levels. The tournament will take place in Phoenix Sports Hall and the Roost has been booked for food after the event. Those in attendance will include Maynooth students along with non-student Frisbee players. This tournament has become a yearly tradition for Maynooth Ultimate right before Christmas.

Our EGM is tomorrow night (26/10/2022) at 7:00pm in Classhall H in the Arts Building. All are welcome. We will be talking about plans for the year and voting for captains. We are heading to the SU after and everyone is invited to join,

On Tuesday the 18th of October we will be heading to Airtastic to play mini golf. We are meeting there at 7:00pm and it is €8 per person. It will be a fun night and a great way to get to know everybody.

We advise every attendee to wear a Christmas jumper if possible. 

We are holding an EGM to reelect committee positions. All club members are welcome to come and run for any of the given positions. 

On Thursday (5th of November) at 8.30 pm, after the fitness session, we'll be watching some game footage again. This time we're probably going to watch some experienced teams footage and try to take a few learning points from them. Hope to see a few of you there.

This Halloween we will be running a quiz on discord with NUIG Ultimate. There will be 10 rounds and teams of 3 or 4. We hope to see lots of you there.

Hey people, This Friday at 10am - 12am we will have a collaboration event with table tennis. This will be an opportunity for us to get to know some of the table tennis members along with being able to show them our wonderful sport! Come on down and hopefully we'll see some new faces from outside of both club's there too! Hope to see lots of you then :)

This weekend we are sending a team to the siege of limerick. This is one of the biggest ultimate frisbee tournaments in Europe. This year we are sending a large amount of beginners and it is a great opportunity to get experience. We're travelling down on the Friday to paly games on Saturday and Sunday there's also going to be a party on Saturday night with a theme of Tim Burton movies. We can't wait!

The Karaoke Club will be hosting a karaoke event along with us, table tennis, surf and rock climbing. It's in the SU venue from 7 pm to 11 pm and all are welcome. It's gonna be lots of fun and a brilliant way to get to know some wonderful people from the other clubs. We hope to see lots of you there!

Mixed Intervarsities hosted in Santry by UCD. We will be bringing one team so look out for the team announcement!

A tournament where college mixed teams from all over ireland compete to win. This event will typically involve two teams: One experienced and one geared towards fun!

A beginner tournament in galway for the weekend! Great fun and a big party on the Saturday night!!!!

Maynooth Ultimate Frisbee are having their EGM at 6 Wednesday the 17th in classhall H. We are voting in a first year rep and a new women's vice-captain. Free pizza will be had! 

Maynooth Ultimate Frisbee are having a special pink training session in aid of cancer. We are joining in on the make maynooth pink activity.

Come along to the Ultimate Frisbee Training workshop. This is our first proper training of the year and we want to welcome all those interested in joining Frisbee either for just fun or for the competitive sport. We'll be at the Astroturf pitch from 4-6pm where we'll do some drills play a few games and then showcase what a full pitch Ultimate Frisbee game is like. Bring your runners, water and your fabulous personalities. See you there!

Maynooth Ultimate Frisbee are off to our firsbee tournament of the year. Whacking day is a beginner tournament taking place in DCU on Saturday the 7th of October and is a great chance for our beginners to get their first proper taste of the sport. Don't think you're good enough to be playing in a tournment already? Never fear, all the other teams will be beginners too! Come along to our first training of the year and let us show you why Maynooth Ultimate is the club for you! On Thursday the 28th we'll be putting on an exhibition match on the astro turf to give you an idea of how the sport works. Our players will be around for a chat and to tell you about all of the fun stuff the year ahead has in store, but if you feel like you want to try get stuck in straight away bring boots or trainers and we'll have some easy going games! No experience needed, just a deep rooted love of Kanye. There might even be a night out planned afterwards, but you'll have to come down and see us to get any more info on that ;)

Our annual Alumni Day is back this Saturday! We'll be playing against our previous frisbee players from the years and putting a good fight up to them. Join us on the AstroTurf to play or watch and then come along for lunch at the Roost
