It’s safe to say that the past few weeks remind us exactly why we love being part of MUMS. Between packed audiences, emotional curtain calls and more backstage quick changes than we care to admit, MUMS has been thriving these past few weeks!

First and foremost, we would like to thank everyone for coming along to our Launch Night for our production of Spring Awakening. The turnout was exceptional and seeing such a full audience meant the world to us. Although it was just a small preview of what's in store, the songs performed on the night were a testament to what’s forth coming in April. It was a way to show how hard we as a cast have been working, and the tireless efforts that go in by our amazing production team. Being able to share that with everyone who attended was really special. If Launch Night is anything to go by, we really have something exciting ahead for us.

We would like to wish the cast and production team of Lady of Hecate a massive best of luck as they prepare for Féile Ardáin in just two weeks! The commitment that has gone into this show has been nothing short of incredible and we cannot wait for them to make their way down to Athlone and show everyone that level of commitment. Their work ethic has been truly inspiring to watch. Their open rehearsal was an amazing way for people who won’t get the chance to head down to Athlone, to be able to see it and wish them well! Seeing this production come to life was absolutely worth the wait. Once again, best of luck. We are all behind you and cannot wait for yous to show all your hard work off!

Alongside productions and launch nights, society life has been busy in all the best ways. Rehearsals for Spring Awakening continue each week maintaining dedication and positive energy. It’s so nice to see the show come together and the consistency everyone brings to the rehearsal room each day.

We were incredibly grateful to welcome a representative from SOSAD Ireland, our chosen charity for this year to speak with the cast and crew of Spring Awakening. The work they do across the country is truly life-changing, and having the opportunity to hear about their services and speak with them was incredibly moving. It reminded us exactly why we are so proud to be fundraising for such an important cause.

We also had the pleasure of welcoming Laoise Fleming back to the heart of MUMS to host an incredible workshop in Performance Through Song. The energy in the room was breathtaking, and it gave everyone the chance to learn, grow and challenge themselves creatively. It’s opportunities like this that make being part of MUMS so special.

Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising event. All funds raised are going directly towards our production of Spring Awakening, SOSAD Ireland and Dublin Rape Crisis Centre. Your generosity doesn’t go unnoticed. It’s the little things like this that make a difference. Thank you for your ongoing support.

As always, thank you for your energy, your support and your ability to turn a casual Wednesday into a full blown emotionally committed karaoke concert. MUMS is the vibrant and slightly dramatic home we love because you all never hesitate to take centre stage for each other.

We can’t wait to see what the next few weeks bring.
