As the 2024/25 MUMS year comes to a close, we would like to say a huge thank you to all our members who joined us at events and productions throughout the year.

We would also like to acknowledge the massive success that was our run of The Rocky Horror Show, so a huge congratulations to all involved, you should be very proud of yourselves, and a special mention to our production team of Shane Dornan, Mark Lehane, Louise Gilmore and Enda Keating for all the hard work and dedication you put in - Rocky wouldn’t have been the show it was without you!

In other news, the 24/25 committee attended the Clubs and Societies Ball two weeks ago where we won a total of five society wide awards - Civic and Charity Award (Curtains Up), Best Poster (The Rocky Horror Show Poster), Best Social Media Post (The Beautiful Game Reel), 3rd Best Society Person (Katie-Mai Mooney) and 2nd Place for Best Large Society. We were thrilled to take home these awards and to be recognised by the university for all our achievements throughout the year.

At our Annual General Meeting last week, we said our final goodbyes to the MUMS committee of 24/25:

Katie-Mai Mooney (Day-to-Day Chairperson)

Joe Keane (Productions Chairperson)

Caolán Moriarty (Inters Rep/Vice Chair/Vice Treasurer)

Caoimhe Moore (Secretary)

Saraid Hartnett (Treasurer)

Oisín Reynolds (Events Officer)

Alison Kiernan Whelan (PRO Design)

Becky Casley (PRO Media)

Amber-Lilly Dunne Maher (Tech and Construction Officer)

Taylor Dench (Tech and Construction Officer)

Lysander Elamin (Productions Liaison)

Éabha Brennan (OCM)

John Brennan (First Year Rep)

What a year we’ve had as a committee! We are so proud of what we achieved this year, and we wish the new committee the very best of luck with next year.

Wishing you all the very best of luck with your exams and we cannot wait to see you all again in September.
