Hey everybody!
Leah here, your Dance Society President!
How are we all? We hope you're enjoying your week and your time here at Dance Soc so far, you have all been amazing attributes to our society so far and we cannot wait to meet you guys in person in the near future!
If anyone needs to chat at any stage or if they are finding it difficult, we are hoping to set up a support session every weekend, where we can all come together as a community to chat, meet new people, share ideas, and have some fun. Would you guys be interested? Let us know!
If you haven't seen yet, we are delighted to announce that we are hosting a very special guest workshop tonight at 7PM. The amazingly talented Jessie Thompson will be joining us for an Experimental class! This is a huge opportunity for you all to come along and learn something new, Experimental is what you make it, there is no right or wrong!
A little bit about Jessie:
Jessie Thompson is a dance Artist from Dublin Ireland,
Specialising in experimental and hip hop. After starting to dance in Dublin from the young age of 11, Jessie began to travel to train with professionals and studios in La,London, Poland and studied Classical in an established school in Ireland for two years aswell as hip hop for 4 years,to then go on and perform with company’s such as Boardgame, Fly dance company and was further asked to choreograph for festivals like Snap Barcelona, Dance2Connect. Jessie has choreographed and danced for numerous Irish artists including Gemma dunleavy,Wild Youth and Loah, and abroad, with Chris Lee in China for the New Year Gala Tv Show and with Crying out loud Company in Belfast Arts Festival 2020. Currently Jessie is teaching a lot around Ireland and working on her new founded event BattleofZen fusing all styles together to create a stronger community of dance in Ireland’s younger generation.

Maynooth Dance Society is a dance society created out of pure passion and love for dance. The prime purpose of our society is to provide a space where anyone can come and dance, we are a free for all society of individuals who love and appreciate everyone around us beyond circumstance. By joining our society, it is guaranteed that you will be learning in a positive, warm, and encouraging environment, you will be spending time and feeling comfortable with others, you will feel free and comfortable, this space is created for you to succeed, to fail, and to express yourself in all that you are amongst like-minded individuals who share love for dance.
